1. Who we are

FlazhPay Technologies Ltd. ("FlazhPay", "we") operates the FlazhPay payment identity network for emerging markets. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

2. What we collect

• Identity data — your phone number, chosen @handle, and (when you complete verification) your BVN-matched legal name and optional verification selfie.
• Bank linkage data — tokenized references to the bank account(s) you link. We do not store plaintext account details.
• Transaction data — records of payments you send and receive on the network, including verified recipient details and timestamps.
• Device and usage data — basic technical information needed to run and secure the service.

3. How we use it

To resolve and verify payment destinations, execute payments through our licensed banking partner, compute your Trust Score, detect fraud, resolve disputes, and meet our legal obligations under applicable financial regulation.

4. What we never do

• We never hold your funds — payments move bank-to-bank on NIBSS rails.
• We never send your transaction, identity, or behavioral data to external AI providers. All FlazhPay AI runs on our own infrastructure.
• We never store your verification selfie. It is processed in memory; only an irreversible mathematical embedding is retained.
• We never sell your personal data.

5. Sharing

We share data only with our CBN-licensed partner bank and NIBSS as required to execute payments and verifications you initiate, with service providers under contract (for example, SMS delivery), and where required by law.

6. Your rights

Under the NDPA 2023 data-protection framework, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consents you have given. Contact privacy@flazhpay.com. You may also revoke your bank direct-debit authorization at any time through your bank.

7. Retention and security

We retain transaction records for the periods required by financial regulation. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit, and access is restricted and logged.
